- ‘ ആസ്റ്റര്‍ മെഡ്‌സിറ്റിയുടെ ആഭിമുഖ്യത്തില്‍ പ്രവര്‍ത്തിക്കുന്ന ഫീല്‍ഡ് ആശുപത്രിയില്‍ ആദ്യ 50 കിടക്കകളുള്ള ആസ്റ്റര്‍ ജിയോജിത്ത് കോവിഡ് ഫീല്‍ഡ് ആശുപത്രിയില്‍ ഇന്നു (മെയ് 19) മുതല്‍ രോഗികളെ പ്രവേശിപ്പിച്ച് തുടങ്ങും
- ‘ ന്യൂഡെല്‍ഹി, കോഴിക്കോട്, കോട്ടക്കല്‍ എന്നിവിടങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് ശേഷം ആസ്റ്റര്‍ ഡിഎം ഹെല്‍ത്ത്‌കെയറിന്റെ നാലാമത്തെ ഫീല്‍ഡ് ആശുപത്രിയാണ് ഇത്.

കൊച്ചി: കോവിഡ് രോഗികള്‍ക്കുള്ള കിടക്കകളുടെ ആവശ്യം ദിനംപ്രതി വര്‍ധിച്ചു വരുന്ന സാഹചര്യത്തില്‍ അമ്പലമുകളില്‍ ബിപിസിഎല്ലിന്റെ ഉടമസ്ഥതയിലുള്ള കെട്ടിടത്തില്‍ ആസ്റ്റര്‍ മെഡ്‌സിറ്റി 100 കിടക്കകളുള്ള ഫീല്‍ഡ് ആശുപത്രി സജ്ജമാക്കി. ആദ്യ 50 ബെഡ്ഡുള്ള ആസ്റ്റര്‍ ജിയോജിത്ത് കോവിഡ് ഫീല്‍ഡ് ഹോസ്പിറ്റലിന്റെ നടത്തിപ്പിനായി ആസ്റ്റര്‍ ഡിഎം ഫൗണ്ടേഷന്റെ ആഗോള സിഎസ്ആര്‍ വിഭാഗമായ ആസ്റ്റര്‍ വൊളണ്ടിയേഴ്‌സ് ജിയോജിത്ത് ഫൗണ്ടേഷനുമായി ധാരണാപത്രത്തില്‍ ഒപ്പുവെച്ചു. 75 ലക്ഷം രൂപയാണ് ജിയോജിത്ത് ഫൗണ്ടേഷന്‍ ഇതിനായി നല്‍കിയത്. ആശുപത്രിയില്‍ ആവശ്യമുള്ള മെഡിക്കല്‍ ഉപകരണങ്ങള്‍ ഉള്‍പ്പെടെയുള്ള സാമഗ്രികള്‍ ഒരുക്കുന്നതും ആശുപത്രി പ്രവര്‍ത്തിപ്പിക്കാന്‍ ആവശ്യമായ ഡോക്ടര്‍മാരുടെയും
നഴ്‌സുമാരുടെയും മറ്റ് ജീവനക്കാരുടെയും നിയമനവും പരിശീലനവും നടത്തുന്നതും ആസ്റ്റര്‍ മെഡ്‌സിറ്റിയാണ്. ഫീല്‍ഡ് ആശുപത്രിയുടെ ഉദ്ഘാടനം ഹൈബി ഈഡന്‍ എംപി നിര്‍വഹിച്ചു. ജില്ലാ കളക്ടര്‍ എസ്. സുഹാസ്, ജിയോജിത്ത് ഫൗണ്ടേഷന്‍ മാനേജിംഗ് ട്രസ്റ്റി സി.ജെ. ജോര്‍ജ്, ആസ്റ്റര്‍ മെഡ്‌സിറ്റി സിഒഒ അമ്പിളി വിജയരാഘവന്‍, ആസ്റ്റര്‍ ഡിഎം ഫൗണ്ടേഷന്‍ പ്രതിനിധി ലത്തീഫ് കാസിം തുടങ്ങിയവര്‍ സന്നിഹിതരായിരുന്നു. ആശുപത്രിയില്‍ ഇന്നു മുതല്‍ (മെയ് 19) രോഗികളെ പ്രവേശിപ്പിച്ചു തുടങ്ങും.
മാനവരാശി ഏറ്റവും വലിയ വെല്ലുവിളിയാണ് ഇപ്പോള്‍ നേരിട്ടു കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നതെന്ന് ആസ്റ്റര്‍ ഡിഎം ഹെല്‍ത്ത്‌കെയര്‍ സ്ഥാപക ചെയര്‍മാനും മാനേജിംഗ് ഡയറക്ടറുമായ ഡോ. ആസാദ് മൂപ്പന്‍ അഭിപ്രായപ്പെട്ടു. കോവിഡ് 19 ലോകം മുഴുവന്‍ വലിയ വിപത്ത് വരുത്തികൊണ്ടിരിക്കുകയാണ്. അപകടസാധ്യതകളും വെല്ലുവിളികളും ഉണ്ടെങ്കിലും ഈ സാഹചര്യത്തില്‍ രോഗികളെ സേവിക്കുക എതാണ് ഉത്തരവാദപ്പെട്ട ആരോഗ്യ പരിപാലന സ്ഥാപനമെന്ന നിലയില്‍ തങ്ങളുടെ കടമയെന്നും അദ്ദേഹം വ്യക്തമാക്കി. ഇത് ലക്ഷ്യമിട്ടാണ് സര്‍ക്കാരുമായി സഹകരിച്ച് കൊച്ചിയില്‍ കോവിഡ് രോഗികള്‍ക്ക് മാത്രമായി ഫീല്‍ഡ് ആശുപത്രി സ്ഥാപിക്കുന്നത്. മഹാമാരിക്കെതിരായ രാജ്യത്തിന്റെ പോരാട്ടത്തെ സഹായിക്കാനായി ന്യുഡെല്‍ഹി, കോഴിക്കോട്, കോട്ടക്കല്‍ എന്നിവിടങ്ങളില്‍ മൂന്ന് കോവിഡ് കെയര്‍ ഫീല്‍ഡ് ആശുപത്രികള്‍ നേരത്തെ തന്നെ സ്ഥാപിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. ഈ സംരംഭം കൂടുതല്‍ രോഗികള്‍ക്ക് സഹായകമാകുമെന്ന് പ്രതീക്ഷിക്കുന്നതായും ഡോ. ആസാദ് മൂപ്പന്‍ പറഞ്ഞു.

ജില്ലാ ഭരണകൂടവുമായി സഹകരിച്ചാണ് ബിപിസിഎല്‍ കാമ്പസിലെ ഫീല്‍ഡ് ആശുപത്രിയിലേക്ക് മികച്ച സൗകര്യങ്ങളും ഉപകരണങ്ങളും മെഡിക്കല്‍ സ്റ്റാഫും ചികിത്സാ മാര്‍ഗനിര്‍ദ്ദേശങ്ങളും ഒരുക്കിയതെന്ന് ആസ്റ്റര്‍ മെഡ്‌സിറ്റി ചീഫ് ഓപ്പറേറ്റിങ് ഓഫീസര്‍ അമ്പിളി വിജയരാഘവന്‍ പറഞ്ഞു. കൂടുതല്‍ കോവിഡ് രോഗികളെ ചികിത്സിക്കുന്നതിനും കൊച്ചിയിലും സമീപ പ്രദേശങ്ങളിലെയും ആവശ്യക്കാരായ ജനങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് സഹായമെത്തിക്കുന്നതിനും ഇതിലൂടെ സാധിക്കുമെന്നും അവര്‍ കൂട്ടിച്ചേര്‍ത്തു.

· To be operated by Aster Medcity Hospital, the first 50 beds Aster Geojit Covid Field Hospital is ready to start admitting patients. On the overall it will be a 100-bed facility with the first 50 being supported by Geojit Foundation.
· This is Aster DM Healthcare’s 4th field hospital for Covid patients in India, after New Delhi, Calicut and Kottakkal.
Kochi: In view of increasing demand for beds for Covid positive patients, Aster Medcity has set up a 100-bed Field hospital in a building owned by BPCL Kochi refinery at Ambalamugal, to serve the needy. Aster Volunteers, the global CSR programme of Aster DM Healthcare, has signed an MoU with Geojit Foundation to support the first 50 beds Aster Geojit Covid Field Hospital which will start accepting patients from Wednesday. Geojit Foundation has funded the initiative with Rs. 75 lakhs, while Aster Medcity hospital set up the facility with all the necessary medical equipments and ensured recruitment and training of doctors, nurses and paramedics to manage the facility. The facility was inaugurated by Hibi Eden MP in the presence District Collector S. Suhas,C.J George, Managing Trustee, Geojit Foundation; Ambili Vijayaraghavan, Chief Operating Officer, Aster Medcity Hospital and Latheef Kasim, Senior Manager, Aster DM Foundation.
Dr. Azad Moopen, Founder Chairman and Managing Director of Aster DM Healthcare, said, “Humanity is facing the toughest challenge of our life-time. Covid-19 is ravaging through countries world over and bringing life to a halt. Being a responsible healthcare provider, we consider it as our responsibility to serve patients in spite of the risks and challenges. The setting up of a Field Hospital exclusively for Covid patients at Kochi in association with Government is aimed at this. We have already set up 3 Covid Care Field hospitals in New Delhi, Kozhikode and Kottakkal to support India’s fight against the pandemic. We sincerely hope that this initiative will help many more patients.”

“We have been working with the district authorities to bring the best of facilities, equipments, treatment protocols and staff to the field hospital in the BPCL campus. This adds significant capacity for us to treat a larger number of Covid patients and play a significant role in aiding people in need from Kochi and neighbouring areas,” said Ambili Vijayaraghavan, Chief Operating Officer of Aster Medcity Hospital.
